Open New Instance allows you to launch & run multiple instances of an application in Mac OS X.
By default Mac OS X supports running one instance of an application at a time in a specific user account, but at times more than one instance of an application is needed, for example, you may need to launch multiple calculators.
You can run multiple instances of any application in Mac OS X with the command “open -n /path/to/myapp.app”. But if you wouldn’t like to touch the command line, Open New Instance is for you!
